The mist swirled into different shapes as a cape clad figure walked through it, leaving a trail of otherworldly fog behind him. His black boots crunched the snow softly, almost too quietly to be possible. The man turned his dark, determined eyes to the window of the house that stood before him. His rigid frown slowly drifted into a smile, two sharp fangs potruding over his lips.
In an instant, he was in front of the window, teleporting in a single blink. He slowly opened the window, careful not to make a sound, and entered the room. The bed, with his prize, sat at the end of the room. His smile grew as he approached it, his spider-like hands reaching out to pull back the covers. Slowly, ever so slowly, he gripped the fleece blanket, and peeled it back to reveal
"Who are you?"
The stranger spun around to see a teenage boy, maybe about seventeen, standing in the doorway. The shout awoke the girl in the bed.
The stranger growled as he watched his prey dart to the boy, clinging to him like a stuffed animal.
"Fool!" he shouted. "Now I have to find another victim
The teenage boy snarled. "Who are you? Tell me!"
The stranger sighed and brushed imaginary dust off of the sides of his cape that dripped over his shoulders.
"I am Count Dracula. And you are the idiot who has relieved me of my dinner." His eyes dimmed from anger to irritation. "And I am actually very, very thirsty."
The girl clinging, to what Dracula presumed to be her boyfriend, made a grimace. The boy simple stared forward, his eyes filled with fire. "How dare you try to hurt Bella?"
Dracula didn't answer, but simply turned around, clearly trying to leave. "It doesn't matter any more, I can't drink without the right atmosphere. Enjoy the next few months together."
"What do you mean next few months?" Bella asked.
Dracula faced her. "You are young. Romances spawned in the early years never last. I cannot even count the number of women I had following me around when I was a boy
"Edward and I love each other!" Bella shouted angrily. "We will stay together through everything."
The Count raised his eyebrow. "If you say so. Now, if you don't mind, I need to feed, so
Edward stepped forward, fists clenched. "Are you saying the love that Bella and I share is not pure? I have spent more then one hundred years learning to love. I know what love is."
Dracula froze. "One hundred years? But how
"I'm a vampire," Edward said, outstreching his arms as a chorus of dramatic, cheesy music blasted from the air.
Dracula simple stared forward, ignoring the dramatic music that came out of nowhere, an unreadable expression on his face. "You
"Yes. I am Edward Cullen, one of the
Dracula held up his hand, silencing him. "You mean to tell me, that you are a vampire, and you are in love with
her?" He pointed to Bella.
"Yes, with all my being. When I thought she had died, I wanted to kill myself!"
"But, surely you have met more attractive, more mentally strong females?"
Bella glared at the Count. Edward patted her arm. "Bella is beautiful! She is the reason for my life! Besides, if she was not gorgeous, why would you drink from her."
I am thristy. To be honest, I was just going to drain her dry. I do not want an ugly bride."
Edward suddenly lashed out in anger, striking the Count in the face. "Take that back!" he shouted. "Bella is beautiful and I love her with all my heart and soul!"
Dracula stood still for a moment, trying to comprehend what just happened. "You.. have a soul?"
you love an ugly girl who is probably about as smart as a clay pot, and you are a vampire, yet you have a soul
"I'm also vegetarian."
Dracula blinked. "You poor thing. I feel like it is my duty to relieve you of your suffering."
"What are you talking about? I'm not suffering
I have Bella! And you have defiled Bella's name! I shall battle you until you are nothing but a pile of bleeding flesh on the
Suddenly, Dracula turned into a snarling wolf which tore Edward to shreds, before transforming into a swarm of bats and ripping Bella to pieces.
Later, he walked out of the house, dabbing his bloody mouth with a napkin, trying to hold back his burps. The sun rise was across the hill, but the sun itself was still hidden.
I had best get home, Dracula thought. Even though he could walk around if the sun was hidden, he would be hurt by the direct rays. He began to walk down the road, before noticing a piece of skin, probably from Edward, on his cape. He was about to flick it, before he noticed that the sunlight made it sparkle. SPARKLE.
He growled slightly and brushed it off of him. "They sparkle too? What's happened to my kind?" he asked aloud, before fading into a bat, and flying away.
